The Goodest Performance
Sorry for the long delay in this update. I seem to say this every single devlog, going to try and keep updates shorter from now on. That being said there are some complex features on the horizon that will take a long time to complete. Made a big push to get the framerate up for this version, it was very poor before and needed a lot of work, hopefully people should be able to get a stable playable 30fps out at the very least, going to try and improve this in further updates. Now for this list of things I could remember, some were forgotten:
- Lizards
- Birds
- Greater HUD contrast
- Better menu camera
- Setting Labels, also the sliders slide now
- Big forests
- Might've fixed boats, can't remember if it was this version or the last one (suddenly welded players to the seabed when sailing)
- Static Shadows
- Terrain generation stuff (genuinely forgot what changed)
- New music track, Signals from kayupla, go check out the soundtrack here: https://kayupla.bandcamp.com/album/antethyr-connection
- Big performance improvements (mostly, hopefully better than before. Trying to make framerate better in next update)
- Started settlement and interior work
- New intro script
In the mean time constant work is being made on the in-universe language Tahl, started doing word a day (although I'm forgetful, usually there) on the Ante'thyr discord server here: https://discord.gg/nqR2Va2 ping me on there if you want to join in (separate role so things aren't spoiled for those who want to learn solely in the game). Hope you enjoy this update and are looking forward to future updates C:
